News Update

Two years ago, on Boxing day, a massive underground earthquake caused the tsunami which as you know, killed about 300,000 people and left tens of thousands homeless. And the sad thing is, tens of thousands are still homeless today. Why the fuck are their governments so corrupted. They're driving around in their Rolls Royces when thousands in their country are dying for heavens sake. They're inhuman. The same goes to why AIDS is still such a massive problem in Africa. Corrupted governments.

So, two days ago an underground earthquake struck near the waters of Taiwan. Which caused some damage to the underground Internet cables which links up Asia to the World. I was going to complain to my ISP (because the pages were loading up oh so slowly) when I heard the news on the radio. It seems to be alright now that they've directed the traffic to an alternative route.

Malaysia and Indonesia are currently experiencing floods and thousands are left homeless caused by the consistent heavy rain around the region. Singapore was not spared either. We have some occurance of flood in low-lying areas but they're all in non-residential areas and we have a good drainage system so the people who were mainly affected were those running flower planting and fish rearing businesses.

Thank you for sitting through this news update.

End of 2006

  • My term-test ended about a week ++ ago, but I couldn't find time to blog as I was busy shopping and doing project work. *Yawn* Its still incomplete.
  • I finally decided to blog today and the Internet connection goes awry because of the underground earthquake near Taiwan which affected the Internet cable connection.
  • Its been raining non-stop for the past two weeks and its really such a mood-dampener.
  • Caught "The Holiday" last week and it was alright. Jude Law was hot and all but I still think that Love Actually was better.
  • I have no New Year's resolution/s.
  • If you happen to be reading this post, Happy 2007.
  • 7 happens to be my favourite number, so I hope that it will be a good year for me.
